Proximo Announces Major Upgrade to the Proximo NetworkTM

Proximo Consulting Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the relocation of the data center that houses the Proximo NetworkTM to a new location. The new facility will provide much better capabilities in disaster situations from blackouts to terrorist attacks.
The new facility is equipped with:- A dual OC-48 based network with direct links to all major carriers and public exchanges
- Two fully meshed, redundant Liebert 300 kW uninterruptible power supplies
- An onsite 2500 amp DC power plant with battery backup
- A 1.2-megawatt Caterpillar generator with a 5000-gallon diesel fuel tank
- Over 200 tons of cooling capacity and humidity control with year-round capability
- An 18" raised floor throughout facility with air, fire, and water sensors
- Pre-wired, redundantly powered, Metaltech 36"-deep cabinets (with adjustable 19-24" width) with individual combination lock for optimal security and privacy
- A Pre-action fire suppression system
- Closed-circuit camera monitoring with time-delayed video recording
- Both biometric and card-scan access
- 24x7x365 electronic monitoring of all safety and control systems as well as internal, external and client networks.
During the past year Proximo has made major investments in its hosting facilities. This relocation is another step in providing improved services at the same low cost. Proximo will be working closely with its partner, New York Internet, to ensure that this move is expeditious and successful. The relocation is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter 2004.
