Generative AI: Innovations for Customers

Proximo is always looking for innovative ways to leverage new tools and our data & analytical expertise to create value for our clients. That said, we wanted to highlight a “Proof of Concept” (PoC) that we have worked on recently.  

“AI” is a burgeoning topic in the world today, and Proximo has sought to leverage generative AI and machine learning to help learn from data to offer intelligent information to customers.  

Recently, an organization came to us, looking for a way to develop insights from their rich knowledge base of user posts and publications on industrial materials. Proximo developed a PoC to show how we can ingest that information and provide functionality and insights that help its members. 

Proximo developed a front-end user interface (UI) that allowed people to ask questions in their field and get answers within seconds. Along with answers, users would receive citations showing the context of their answer, from the source(s) the answer was derived. 

We started by ingesting example files provided into our database. We then built vectorization models that helped isolate keywords to aid in indexing and discovery of results. Finally, we used Microsoft Azure’s Generative AI engine to process this data and generate results.
